Paroma Chatterjee is a seasoned banking and fintech professional who is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Revolut India. Revolut India is a part of the London headquartered global fintech company, Revolut Group. Revolut is the UK's fastest growing private tech company and one of Europe's largest FinTechs. Paroma is leading efforts to launch bespoke financial products of Revolut in India as part of Revolut's global expansion strategy. In February 2022, she spearheaded Revolut's first strategic acquisition of an international money transfers and currency exchange company in India. She has two decades of professional experience having worked with some of the best brands in the country. She graduated from one of the most prestigious management colleges in India, IIM-Lucknow. She spent the first 7 years of her career in banking with brands like ICICI Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank. Since then, she has been at the forefront of the Fintech revolution in India starting with the first mobile wallet license for the leading telecom company Airtel Money back in 2010. She has launched and scaled several flagship businesses since then - including the marketplace business of the eCommerce behemoth Flipkart. In her last stint, she led the scale up of the Indian FinTech company Lendingkart to a book size of USD 400 million, before joining Revolut last April to take charge as the CEO of Revolut India. Paroma has been bestowed with several prestigious awards in recognition of her professional excellence and achievements. She was featured in the FinTech Magazine's 2022 list of Top100 Women in FinTech. She was also featured among the Top Women CEOs of 2021 by Entrepreneur India. Paroma was named one of the Top 25 Women Leaders in Financial Technology of Asia for 2020 and awarded Woman Leader of the Year at the India FinTech Forum 2019.
