The ‘Made in India’ platform is home to India's most popular streamers and has built highly engaged communities across various games including BGMI, FreeFire, and Call of Duty Mobile. The platform houses India's top esports teams and has hosted the country's largest tournaments in partnership with global game publishers like Activision, Ubisoft, and Riot Games as well as global brands like the NBA, Logitech, and Red Bull. Loco has grown rapidly over the past 12 months, with monthly active viewers scaling by 6x, monthly active streamers scaling by 10x, and live watch hours scaling by 48x since June 2020. Today, highly active users spend 1 hour daily on Loco, making it the gaming community’s platform of choice for a seamless streaming and viewing experience.
Anirudh is also a founder and board member of Pocket Aces, India's leading digital media entertainment company. The company operates India's largest socially distributed content network including popular brands FilterCopy and Gobble. It reaches 50 million people on a weekly basis and has amassed >13 billion views over its lifetime. Dice Media, Pocket Aces' long form studio, has created some of India's most successful long form digital content, including “Little Things”, “What The Folks”, “Operation MBBS”, and has the highest series renewal rate in the industry. It is also the first new-age creator to have a multi-show deal with streaming giant, Netflix. Pocket Aces also operates Clout, India's leading influencer management practice.
Anirudh was recently featured on Fortune's 40 under 40 list 2021, the second time he has appeared on this list. Prior to this he was featured on CNBC Young Turks in November 2017 along with spots on Fortune 40 under 40 2019, Social Samosa 40 under 40 2019 and IMPACT's 40 Under 40 Entrepreneurs 2019, BWDisrupt 40 Under 40 2019. Anirudh has also bagged Digital Entrepreneur of the Year at Talentrack Awards 2018.
Prior to embarking on his journey as an entrepreneur, Anirudh was at Valo Group LLC, a value-oriented hedge fund based in Philadelphia. Prior to that, he worked in investment banking and private equity at Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, and Istithmar World Capital in New York, London, and Dubai.
Anirudh holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Anirudh is a huge Liverpool FC fan, massive cricket buff, and a film fanatic. He loves playing poker, reading history and discussing politics in his spare time. He calls Kuwait (where he grew up) and Mumbai (where he currently resides) home.
