PROFESSOR

Dr. Deepu Philip is a Professor in the Industrial & Management Engineering department and the Design Program at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. He predominantly works in Industrial & Systems Engineering. Major focus is on the field of new product design and development, systems simulation and optimization, sustainable agriculture, entrepreneurial training games, unmanned aerial, etc. His bachelor’s degree is in Industrial Engineering from Kerala University, and his master’s and doctoral degrees are in Industrial Engineering from Montana State University Bozeman. His major research projects are funded by ISRO, DRDO, DST, GAIL, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh, Aerospace Development Agency, Naval Science and Technology Laboratory, Bombardier, etc. He has successfully guided 35+ Master’s students, eight doctoral scholars on diverse topics.
