Vinod Kumar co-founded String and currently serves as its Managing Director. From his first job as a teenager managing the supply chain for his family’s FMCG business to leading large cross functional teams at global multibillion-dollar companies in the telecommunications and data networking industries – Vinod’s corporate experience runs deep and broad.

With his 24 years of experience in product development, engineering, manufacturing, customer experience and operations, Vinod brings a strong commitment to strategic and operational excellence as well as insights on taking products to market and increasing shareholder value. Vinod’s passion to deliver measurable and sustainable impact towards climate change in his lifetime, shapes his work at String. Vinod’s been an invited speaker, educator, and mentor at multiple events.

Vinod holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Bangalore University, India, a master’s degree in Industrial & Manufacturing Systems Engineering and Supply Chain Management from Ohio University and a certification in Corporate Finance from University of Berkeley, California.
