Founder & CEO

Dr. Yunpeng Qu is a Doctor of Science (PhD), materials scientist, entrepreneur, and science communicator specializing in advanced functional materials, including high-performance polymers, smart fibers, and sustainable material systems. He has conducted research and advanced training across China, Europe, and the United States, with a strong focus on translating materials science into applications for energy, electronics, textiles, and green technologies.

Dr. Qu completed his postdoctoral research in the United States and previously served as a Senior Scientist at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne). He has published more than 20 peer-reviewed papers in leading journals such as Advanced Materials and Nature Nanotechnology.

In 2018, he was elected Executive Council Member of the Fiber Materials Modification and Composite Technology Division of the Chinese Materials Research Society. He serves as an invited reviewer for several international journals and is Deputy Director of the Swiss–China Innovation Center, promoting international collaboration and technology transfer.

Beyond academia, Dr. Qu is the founder of “Dr. Qu on Materials”, a science-communication platform translating frontier materials research into accessible narratives. His work focuses on sustainability, intellectual-property strategy, and building cross-ector innovation synergies aligned with the mission of the India Global Innovation Connect (IGIC).
