Mr. Woosuk Kenneth Choi is the Editor of Future Planning News Desk at the Chosun Daily Newspaper. He is the Director General of the Asian Leadership Conference run by the Chosun Daily Newspaper.

He was elected as the Executive Vice Chairman of the International Press Institute (IPI) in 2016. He served as the President of Korea Automotive Journalist Association from 2014 to 2016. He served as the Executive Vice Chairman of the Journalist Association of Korea.

Prior to his current position, he was deputy editor of business desk at the newspaper, covering automotive, ship building, trade, etc. He was the Editor of Political News at TV Chosun. He was the Blue House correspondent covering news regarding the President of Korea. He traveled with the President to the US and China for the summit meetings.

He was also responsible for business department prior to his post in the Political News. He was in charge of market coverage in global automotive news as well as foreign investments around the world.

He was in charge of launching the Chosunilbo’s broadcasting business in 2010 and forging Chosun’s alliance with MTV and Chinese TV networks such as Chungqing TV, Guangdung TV, CICTV, among others.

Mr. Choi was also a Washington Correspondent from 2005 – 2009. He covered the North Korean nuclear crisis, Korea-US bilateral relationship, Korea-US FTA, Korea-China FTA and East Asian geopolitics.

Since he joined the Chosunilbo in 1992, Mr. Choi has covered political affairs, social affairs, and business and economics for the past 30 years. He holds a BS from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and MPA from Harvard Kennedy School. He also holds an MA in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania. He is a Media Leader of the Davos Forum in Switzerland.
