Mr. Sumit Kumar, is a dynamic business leader with over two decades of experience in setting up businesses across India, with expertise in Enterprise Sales, Global Sales, Marketing and Operations. Over last 8 years he has been actively involved in advocating and scaling up apprenticeships in India by generating awareness and demand through industry partnerships; engaging with academia in curating and implementation of work based programs in the form of degree apprenticeships as per New Education Policy; and work closely with the Ministry of Skills Development & Entrepreneurship and ILO for simplification of apprenticeship system.

He is currently associated with TeamLease Degree Apprenticeship as Chief Business Officer and prior to this, he was associated with Monster.com for 12 years where he led the command for global sales for markets like India, South East Asia and Middle East. He was also responsible for driving business for North and East India. In the past, Sumit has also worked with Feedback Ventures and Marriott International. During his association with Feedback Ventures, he created a strong market for paper packing in the retail segment.

He has been an active speaker across forums like ILO, FICCI, Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Mission, Maharashtra Chambers of Commerce, Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India, Confederation of Indian Industry, Business World Education Summit, Indian Retail & e-Retail Congress and India Apprenticeship Forum. He is an alumnus of University of Jammu and The Faculty of Management Studies, Rani Durgawati Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur. Mr. Kumar has also done an executive program from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
