Sudhir Rao has over 40 years of Capital Markets related enterprise-building experience, as a Public Markets intermediary, Private Equity Fund Investment Committee Member, Venture capital Fund manager, ScaleUp Advisor and Entrepreneur.

He is currently Senior Partner of Celesta Capital, a ~$1.1 Bn US-India DeepTech Venture Capital Fund platform and Managing Partner – IndusAge Capital Managers.

He is a Chartered Accountant (ICAI) and a Chartered Management Accountant (CIMA) and an alumni of the first course of the Advanced Leadership Program at Judge Business School – University of Cambridge. He is also Professor of Practice at the IFMR Graduate School of Business, Krea University and a Charter Member of TiE and Member of The Chennai Angels.

Celesta has made, through four funds, over 107 investments globally in DeepTech companies and divested 43 of them through M+As, Secondaries and IPOs. It has made ~17 investments in India. The investments span Industry Transformers in Agriculture + Construction, AI, Semiconductors + Hardware Systems and Bio-Convergence / HealthTech.

He spent over 10 years in Public Markets between 1989 and 1999. He was Founder Director of Karvy Investor Services Ltd. involved in scaling up their Investor Services, Merchant Banking and Retail Financial services portfolio.
