RESEARCHER SCIENTIST
Eli Schwartz is a Ph.D. Candidate in Artificial Intelligence at Tel-Aviv University (2019-2023). His academic journey also includes an M.Sc in Electrical Engineering from Tel-Aviv University (2018), and a B.Sc. in the same field from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology (2013). Eli’s academic accomplishments include authoring 18 papers, published in top journals and conferences. He also served as a program chair for the Learning with Limited Labels Workshop at CVPR (2020) and Multimodal Foundation Models Workshop at ICCV (2023). His contributions to the field were recognized with the IBM Ph.D. Fellowship (2020).
In addition to his academic pursuits, Eli is presently a Research Scientist at IBM Research. His past professional experiences are also notable. He co-founded Inka Robotics, a startup where he also served as the CTO from 2015 to 2017. This company was responsible for the creation of the world’s first tattooing robot. Prior to that, he was part of the Microsoft team, where he contributed to developing algorithms for the HoloLens AR headset (2013-2016). His experiences in the chip design industry include roles at Qualcomm (2011-2013), and IBM (2008- 2011).
